2018 BMCA (Body Mind Centering Association) Conference, Workshop
June 5-10, 2018
Smith College in Northampton, MA
with Abbi Jaffe and Amanda Franz
The theme of the conference is Resilience.
Our workshop is called
Embodying Our Ecosystems: Our Intimately Shared Nervous System.
Our bodies and the earth are inextricably interconnected. We are living ecosystems, held within and constantly in relation to the ecosystems around us. The air we breathe, the food that nourishes us and the water we drink, all become a part of us, integrating into our very cells, tissues, and thoughts. As are the patterns of the earth, so are the patterns of our bodies, both full of a profound knowing of aliveness.
Join Amanda and Abbi to reconnect to the wild inside and out. We will immerse in nature and connect with our body’s diverse intelligences. We will explore the co-regulation of our nervous system, and we will re-inhabit the deep time of body and land. Through the great work of listening and attending we will deepen our capacity for resiliently engaging with life.
