Everything is Alive! Everything is Connected!

Defining Statements:

“We are all interconnected. Denying that, we die. Surrendering to that, we live.
Relationship is key! Relationship, quality relationship, may in fact be everything. To create a shift, we have to learn to be in authentic relationship with, to listen to, voices that are ‘on the ground’.”
-Adrienne Maree Brown
“All that you touch You Change. All that you Change Changes you.”
— Octavia Butler

We hold as true that the world is Alive and that the more than human Alive are beings in their own right and personhood.  This includes the animals, plants, microbiome, mountains, metals, mycelium, fire, bodies of water, spirits of wind and weather, deities, ancestors, star people, nature spirits, and many others. We choose to center relationships, to all these multifaceted beings and to each other as we strive to live the embodied knowing that humans are inextricably interconnected in this woven fabric of life.

Here’s how (actions) we’ve done it before:
  • Practices of plant communication, offerings and consensual harvest
  • Maintaining community altar space and encouraging individual honoring practices.
  • Utilizing growing practices beyond extraction (regenerative agriculture): making spaces for Beauty, prioritizing pollinators, cover cropping

Here’s the ‘how’ we are interested in doing it in the upcoming season(s):
(We're in process, check back soon!)
