How to Contribute

Whether you're an individual or a business, there are ways that you can make a meaningful contribution to the Vision of our project, and our Mission of offering  food, connection and skill building to people interested in growing resilience and supporting food justice
through a community garden project centered in practicing relationship to all life.

Financial Contributions

Currently, our project is an entirely volunteer-run effort. Funds donated to the Garden Project support us in meeting the financial costs of providing the space, tools and supplies for members to learn new skills, find community and increase their access to local, organic food. If you would like to make a financial contribution to The Garden Project, we would be so grateful for your support. You can make a donation via PayPal here:

In-Kind Donations Wish List

Below are a list of one-time donations of physical items that will help us to provide increased access to education, movement, and the growing, tending and distribution of food. If you would like to donate any of these items, or if you have any other items that you think might be useful to our project, please email Mea directly at mea.tavares@gmail.com

Mulch Supplies
Our garden space is a collectively and organically tended half acre.  We are in need of the following mulch supplies throughout the growing season:
Hay and Straw (especially during the months of May-June and October-November)
Burlap Sacks
Wool

Tools
More tools supports more connected hands and hearts in the garden! As we grow to include more members into our project, we would love to receive the following tools:
*These items are especially important during the time of COVID-19, as we work to keep our community members safe by reducing
cross-contact with hand-tools in the garden. *

Hoes: 2-3 Standard Hoes, 1-2 Grub Goes, 1 stirrup hoe
Forks: 1 Broadfork, 2-3 Forked Spades
Blades: 2-3 Pruning Clippers/Floral Shears, 2-3 Hori Hori Knives,  3 Harvest Knives
Water Tools:  Powerful Sprinklers, Leak-Free Heavy Duty Hoses

Containers: Harvest Baskets and Tubs

Special Projects to Increase Food Access
The items below will help us to provide on-site warm food for gatherings of folks working in the garden, and an on-site refrigeration system for preserving harvested food for distribution:

Grill

Solar panels
DC-powered refrigerator

Thank you!
