Can you even believe that we opened this space in 2014?
It’s been such a long journey.
I can remember times of holding and being held by amazing community members, all of us aligned in vision, enacted through sharing gifts of movement, listening, breathwork, poetry, anti-racist education, emergent embodied intelligence, decolonial meetings, storytelling, grieving, acceptance, trauma and resilience education, and more.

Remember when we were holding monthly “Community Practices of Resilience”?

Remember when the contact jams were so joyfully packed the room was buzzing as we all found flow together?

Remember when we grieved and fundraised for Standing Rock?

Remember when the studio floor welcomed all the feelings and something inside found home?
So much has moved in and through this space, and we are eternally grateful.

We are in a threshold moment, dreaming of the future under our feet, beckoning it into the now.
Our rent is getting raised to an amount we cannot pay, and we will most likely have to leave our space.
We need your help.
As we feel into what to do, we are holding so many possibilities.  We hope that you might take a moment to dream possibilities and weave together a future studio.
Here are some of the options we’d love leads on...

Our paths of possibility:
Path ONE: We find another space in (a) town where we can re-locate our studio and hopefully/preferably one practitioner room and continue to run our programming.
  • In our dream world, we can find a large space with wooden floors, near beauty, that is accessible and relatively sound proofed/neighbors don’t mind sound.
  • Do you know of a space that we can relocate?
Path TWO: We find a renter(s) who can pay $800-1500 for one of the large, beautiful office spaces on our floor and stay where we are.
  • We’ve tried filling our various spaces with practitioners and hourly/daily renters.  We need more folks to make this work, who could pay $100-150/day/month and, to really make it work, it would be the higher end, which we have found is not what folks are up for paying.
  • We imagine a business or non-profit, aligned or supportive of our endeavors, moving their office here, but honestly, we are pretty open.  There are awesome individual rooms that can hold the organizations.
  • Do you want to move your business here?
Path THREE:  We find the home/land that we have been dreaming of to move/build the studio, the garden project, and all our incredible programming there.  What a dream, eh?
  • Seeking home/land with sun and field for growing, space for gathering, parking, and building studio (unless it’s already got one!). Yay for barn/outdoor buildings and access to water.
  • Are you ready to transition out of your homestead/home and see it go towards a liberation vision?
  • Do you know of a place for sale/available?
 Path FOUR:
  • Rent other studio spaces.  Got any leads?
  • What else should we consider?

Other ways to support:
Donate:
Whatever the path, it's gonna take resources.  We realize that many of our values and practices, such as accessibility pricing options, tithing for reparation/justice donations for all courses, below market-value renting to support our rad community of practitioners/educators, free/equitably offered BIPOC offerings/sessions, gifted labor supporting/organizing with/for QT & BIPOC community events, free space usage for values aligned projects/organizations, etc, make it challenging for us to function as a sustainable business within capitalism.  We've always ridden the line of "minimally sufficient" finance generation, which is a part why we aren't able to rise to the occasion of the incredible rent increase.

Participate/Spread the word about our offerings:
Join us for classes and sessions.  We offer this work for our collective liberation.
We can exist and continue to offer it because of all of you who say “YES!”

Yes! We are fractals (thank you amb). We must become anew to transform the conditions outside ourselves. We must un/learn, practice and embody new ways of being. We must co-create cultures of belonging that acknowledge the differences and orient towards equity.

We must do it now, together.
Come, celebrate this space with us, while we still have it.
As we discover which path we are on, we’ll most certainly let you know and invite you to celebrate and grieve together.
